With over 12 years of industry experience, Lynette Barksdale, a DMV native has created an indelible footprint within the corporate realm. Leveraging, both her passions and skill sets to create a diversified platform for people of color, she has established an indisputable footprint in the tech field. With a penchant for diversity and career development, she has served as not only a thought leader but a change agent throughout her career tenure, by tirelessly working to close the diversity gap.
Armed with a degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University, Lynette is currently heading into her fourth year at Google and serves as the Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Access (Google Fiber) an Alphabet company.
A proactive voice in the community internally and externally, Lynette serves on the Board of Directors for the Austin Area Urban League, Mainspring Schools, and on the advisory committee for the Women’s Community Impact Fund.

Ashley Jennings serves as Program Manager for UT’s Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship, Growth and Renewal, where she oversees event programming, student, alumni and community engagement, along with new strategic marketing initiatives.
Through her work in the tech startup ecosystem, she's been deemed a top "connector of people and organizations in Austin," focused on driving real change around systematic problems for women in the workforce and gender inequality.
Prior to joining the McCombs team, Ashley helped co-found and served as Chief Marketing Officer for DivInc, a non-profit accelerator for women and ethnically diverse tech founders, aimed at increasing diversity in the tech industry.
She is also the Co-Owner and Executive Producer of Spero Labs, LLC, a creative production agency championing great content for clients of all sizes, from local startups to fortune 500 giants.
As a thought leader, Ashley produces and speaks at conferences, events and summits throughout Texas, including SXSW.
Before moving back to Texas from New York, she helped launch Al Jazeera Media Network’s American channel, Al Jazeera America, and was part of the ABC News field team who traveled the country covering breaking news, weather and politics.
Her time with ABC News earned her five Emmy nominations along with a Peabody Award and two Edward R. Murrow Awards.
She’s skilled in media consulting and strategy, marketing communications, fundraising, sales, event management, strategic partnerships and corporate relations.
Her greatest joy is mentoring students and being back on the Forty Acres, where she earned a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations.

Christine McCarey is a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) leader. She also is a recovering lawyer with considerable legal, business development, and corporate experience.
Most recently, Christine founded and led the Diversity & Inclusion Program and Legal Operations function at RetailMeNot. During her tenure at RMN, the D&I Program was recognized in 2018 by Glass Door as #1 and Built in Austin as #2.
As part of the D&I Program, she founded and led Women@RMN, a large employee resource group. Christine’s mission is to positively impact DEI challenges at scale, particularly for women in underrepresented groups. To that end, her consulting company, ImpactDEI, launches this summer.
Christine holds a law degree from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University. She is a founding funder of and serves on the Organizing Committee for Emerge Texas, an affiliate of Emerge America. Emerge America recruits, trains, and provides a powerful network to Democratic women who want to run for office.

Binny Nanavati is the Managing Director of Binnys LLC. Her firm provides consulting strategies on embracing an inclusive work culture and help professionals build a compelling branded message to navigate their careers. She serves on the Board of Advisors of Momentum Scholars, a 501(c)3 non-profit. Binny also serves on the Parents Council for Business Honors Program at UT Austin McCombs School of Business.
Binny is also a public speaker on topics such as “Diversity in Tech: Addressing the Technology & Innovation Gap in Austin”, “Inclusive Leadership: Moving Business Forward, Leadership Strategies” and "Measuring the Impact of Your Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)". Her speeches are inspiring, persuasive and informative, designed to help participants take immediate action.
Previously, Binny spent 5 years at Dell in leadership positions including Director of Global Diversity & Inclusion overseeing Employee Resource Groups, 5 years running her consulting firm and 18 years at AT&T in various management functions in Sales, Program Management, Marketing and Consulting. She has co-authored White Papers including “Lessons Learned from Network-Centric Organizations”.
Binny holds Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Economics from Rutgers University and mini-MBA in Finance from Wharton. She and her husband Sujal have two children and live in Austin, Texas.
