“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” -George Bernard Shaw
Do you ever have a whole conversation, work to share your point-of-view, and then walk away unsure if you were just talking to yourself? Or have the feeling the other person was just waiting for you to stop talking so that they could talk (or vice versa)?
Now, more than ever, strong communication skills are needed to move the needle on our careers. Whether you’re delivering a presentation, defending your personal or professional ideas, or advocating for yourself and others, it all comes down to whether you have the necessary tools to get your point across.
Join HERdacity on Thursday, August 20th from 12-1 pm (CST) as educator Sam Barrow teaches us how to more effectively and inclusively share our messages and information.
During this workshop we will:
- Identify your preferred communication style
- Learn how to utilize intentional and inclusive language in our everyday
- Learn how to receive and deliver feedback
