How You Can Help Those Affected by the Texas Winter Storms

Are you ready for Amplify Austin? We’re excited to be a part of it this year, but we also recognize that many Austinites and Texans are still dealing with the aftermath of the winter storm in February. If you’re looking for a way to help, here are five places you can donate today.


Austin Disaster Relief

The Austin Disaster Relief Fund Network is a nonprofit that is currently raising funds for those impacted by the winter storm. They are working to provide gift cards, emergency housing, and supplies for short- and long-term needs.


Austin Mutual Aid – Kick the Cold

Austin Mutual Aid is a fund dedicated to helping those impacted by both COVID-19 and the winter storm. They are purchasing hotel rooms for those who do not have a place to stay, providing meals and other supplies.


Casa Marianella

Casa Marianella is a nonprofit that welcomes displaced immigrants and promotes self-sufficiency by providing shelter and support services. In addition to shelter, Casa offers access to legal and medical resources, food, clothing, English classes, and other resources.


Austin Area Urban League

The Austin Area Urban League is a civil rights organization dedicated to providing economic empowerment, educational opportunities and the guarantee of civil rights for African Americans and other underserved/underrepresented populations in in the Austin/ Central Texas region. They are currently raising funds to help provide housing for those displaced by the winter storm.


Central Texas Food Bank

The Central Texas Food Bank is a nonprofit that helps provide food, volunteers, money, and other resources to the Central Texas community.
